The Mount Hebron Church was organized November 29, 1954…
at 3545 Woodland Avenue at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. B.G. Gilbert as moderator and Rev. Eddie Burge as Pastor. At that time of organization, the membership included; Rev. & Sis. Eddie Burge, Rev. Lee, Rev & Sis. Warren, Rev. & Sis. Terrell, Rev, and Sis. Steele, Dea. O.T. Jackson, Dea. & Sister John Lucky and family, Bro. Rodell White, Sis. Villa Pollard, Bro. James Lee, Sis. Burton and Family, and the Lander Family.
Over the initial years after its organization, the church continued to progress spiritually as well as financially. Membership fluctuated, but a faithful few continued to continue to meet from house to house, praying and hoping God would see fit for the ministry to continue. After much prayer, God placed it on Sis. Burge’s and Sis. Pollard’s heart to reorganize Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church.
On June 13, 1964 at 6:00 p.m., a group met at the home of Rev. and Sis. Louis Fredrick…
1410 East 61st St, and Mount Hebron was again organized. At this meeting the following individuals were accepted as officers: Rev. Louis Fredrick, Pastor; Rev. Eddie Burge, Assistant Pastor; Dorothy Dozier, Secretary; Dea. Huey Williams, Treasurer; Sis. Florence Haire, Pianist; Bro. Walter Dannison, Trustee; Sis. Evelyn Dannison, President of Choir; Dea. John Lucky, Chairman of Deacon Board; Dea. Lester Bell, Assistant Chairman of the Deason Board. Other members present included: Dea. Wille Dozier, Sis. Carolyn Lucky, Sis. Edna Martin, Rev. Aaron Williams, Sis. Donnie Gibson. Shortly after, Rev. Warren & Sister Bennie Stevens and the Morning Star Baptist Church, Lorain, Ohio installed the Pastor and gave the Deacons their charge.
Mount Hebron was chartered October 26, 1971 under the leadership of Rev. Louis Frederick.
Pastor Louis Frederick faithfully served as Pastor for 17 years and on December 29, 1981, God saw fit to call our devoted Pastor, Rev. L. Frederick from labor to reward.
On August 29, 1982, God gave us another Pastor to lead and guide us; Rev. Willo Early.
Under Pastor Willo Early, Mt. Hebron’s building at 2227 105th Street underwent a number of major renovations to beautify the church, with the work performed primarily by Pastor Willo and some other members of the congregation including: addition of a offices, a vestibule and a church front to the building, a pulpit and pulpit furniture, pews, organ and piano to the sanctuary, wood paneling, a baptismal pool, new windows and resurfacing to the parking lot that was previously dirt and mud.
Pastor Willo Early faithfully and humbly served as Pastor for 25 years. After 25 years, Pastor Willo Early retired from the pastorate on December 31, 2007.

Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Judah Early was ordained and charged by Pastor Michael H. Harrison and the Union Baptist Church of Youngstown, Ohio.
Under the leadership of Pastor Judah Early, Mt. Hebron has experienced considerable growth both spiritually and in membership. Membership growth was so substantial, that the congregation was too large for its current location, and Mt. Hebron needed a larger building to accommodate the growing congregation.
On June 5, 2011, Mt. Hebron held its first service in its new location, 3300 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44118.
The church continues to grow with over 300 members on the roster, and continues to serve the members of the congregation and the community with over 20 ministries that are designed to minister to the “whole” man (or woman) and reach the needs of the people.
Mt. Hebron continues to make an impact in the community through Outreach. Mt. Hebron partners with area nursing homes and homeless shelters.
In 2013, Mt. Hebron introduced Life Empowerment classes providing practical tools…
concepts and principles that can be applied to the daily life of a believer.
These empowerment classes include Marriage and Singles, Men and Women, Financial, and Spiritual Gifts Empowerment.
Mt. Hebron adopted the church mission statement: Redefining church as usual to become the church we are called to be. This mission is Mt. Hebron’s goal to effectively transform lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the transforming power of His Holy Spirit. To do this, we have to radically discern the will of God for the church, and at Mt. Hebron, it is our desire to make the usual, unusual; to raise the standard of how a church should function; to be a reflection of Acts 2:41-46.
The Lord continues to bless Mt. Hebron, and Mt. Hebron continues to strive to become the church we are called to be by teaching sound bible doctrine, humbly but enthusiastically inviting the presence of God, and being lead by the Spirit of God. Reaching people across all generations, by providing in-reach and outreach programs and tackling real life issues. We continue to strive to bring people into the church as MEMBERS, build them up to MATURITY, train them for MINISTRY, and send them out on their MISSION, resulting in the Lord being MAGNIFIED, throughout the process.

In June of 2022, Pastor Judah Early accepted a calling to another ministry. The church held a vote shortly thereafter and Pastor Royce Brantley was voted in as Senior Pastor where he serves faithfully until this day.
The church continues to see considerable growth under his leadership.
